Our mobile Behavioral, Sensory & Environmental (BSE) Wellness & Design Studio develops adaptive tools, tactile learning experiences,
and eco-art retreats respectfully informed by early place-based handweaving traditions, relational knowledge, and ecological relationships across the
Eastern Woodlands and Wabanaki homelands. Our work is also informed by broader Northeastern American ethnography, and relational practices,
spanning the Atlantic-and-Mid-Atlantic Coastal and surrounding regions.

Exploring the Threads, Waves, and Routes of Macrame, Sensory Wellness, and Cultural
Continuity from a Lens Rooted in Atlantic Canada's Diverse Intra-diaspora ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ This online workshop series, led by Canadian Multidisciplinary Macrame Artist, and Wellness Facilitator, Shanay Paris, is offered in honour of Black History Month (BHM) and the expansive cultural contributions, traditions, and stories that continue to shape us and our diverse communities. Shanay is also the founder of Boho & Knots™ and related offerings, including the Ancestral Waves Project™ (AWP), are part of the inspiration behind these workshops. While BHM month provides a meaningful anchor for the series of workshops being piloted in February 2026, the space also recognizes that identity, lineage, and the embodied ways of knowing that influence our sense of wellbeing, creative practices, and sensibilities year‑round – in many forms.
