Textiles Made to Defy the Ordinary.
Our mobile Behavioral, Sensory & Environmental (BSE) Wellness & Design Studio develops adaptive tools, tactile learning experiences,
and eco-art retreats respectfully informed by early place-based handweaving traditions, relational knowledge, and ecological relationships across the
Eastern Woodlands and Wabanaki homelands. Our work is also informed by broader Northeastern American ethnography, and relational practices,
spanning the Atlantic-and-Mid-Atlantic Coastal and surrounding regions.

Portfolio
This portfolio highlights our current signature collections as well as the materials,
practices, nature inspired elements used that shape my work.
Each macramé piece reflects an integration of natural, raw, and eco-conscious material as well as earthy, calm, mute coloured fibers.
The hues I primarily choose to work with are selected, with careful intention, to help promote a neutral, relaxing, and grounding sense of being.
The use of more saturated coloured cords are used, on occasion, for custom designs, as a specific cultural or ceremony detail, or as a special promotion.
This portfolio also highlights the grounding processes and approaches used to make creative wellness more accessible,
sensory-friendly, and culturally responsive. There's an interconnection between relatability, access, and the sense of wellbeing that cultivates
more joy and sustainable expansion. As such, my practice aims to create bridges and pathways that improve the
mind-body-connection by using traditional teachings, creative innovation, and community care.
"All works are grounded in our Material Remembrance™ modality, these designs function as adaptable tools to
affirm the spectrum of diversity and the lived experiences within our communities." ~ Shā’-nay Paris
