In an effort to expand and elevate the benefits and importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)  educational opportunities, we ensure to weave STEM into our work.

Our macrame workshops & programs include elements of STEM, however, we also include it (using a more focused approach),
when the workshops and programs are paired with our informal version eco-tourism events and excursions.

It's one of our goals to make STEM more accessible; especially to
women, youth, marginalized, and diverse groups. The reality skills are already infused into most art and creative practices such as:
cooking, fashion, visual arts, and yes...even macrame!

However, for many creatives and art-curious people, STEM specializations seemed out of reach or more aligned with people who showed exceptional aptitude in school subjects and
classes like math, science, biology (etc.).

That belief doesn't align with reality as there are many people, many who are artists, who demonstrate STEM skillsets on a daily basis even if they weren't students in the above noted courses.

As such, at Boho & Knots, we don't want to just acknowledge this,
but we want to provide opportunities for those with related skills
to empower themselves to use, own, and share
their capacity in these areas in our workshops!
